Alec Baldwin faces a new civil lawsuit from relatives of cinematographer Halina Hutchins.
Hutchins died in October 2021 after a prop cannon held by Baldwin was fired on set during the filming of the movie "Lust" in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The Hollywood actor has been sued for alleged assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, and loss of syndicate.
Loss of consortium occurs when plaintiffs attempt to recover the damages of certain interdependent relationships.
Film production company Rust is involved in the lawsuit. The family's premier U.S. attorney, Gloria Allred, announced the new lawsuit at a press conference on Thursday.
